5/12/14 MESSAGE to THERAPIST JANET LEHMAN re RADIO ADS: Please BE KIND to us. We (my wife & I) are VERY TIRED of hearing your ads on the radio,especially the one that begins with "I will never forget the day...." blah blah blah. The way you talk in an almost robotic monotone manner, if I was your son I would have a difficult time being affectionate as well. Kids need affection & love not just orders & commands & expectations of perfect obedience. Maybe these ads for some odd reason help your business,but we think a kinder,gentler,more loving tone might help even more, & won't make us & others reach for the radio tuner to quickly change stations. I say "others" & "we" because I've noticed my wife & I are NOT the only ones who find your ads grating on our nerves. I searched online & found other similar sentiments to mine. My own mother used to use this approach to me as a child to show "who is the boss" but if she had just once spoken with love & affectionate in a friendly manner as a friend (as she does now) any antagonistic dynamic would have instantly changed. Kids & parents won't have "power struggles" if they are friends.
